Musanze: New Muhoza Health Center inaugurated to changes lives of surrounding community (photos and video)
AHF Rwanda inaugurated MUHOZA health center Aids Health Foundation officially inaugurated Muhoza health center on 4th December 2017 located in Musanze distirict, in its continuous program of delivering HIV and AIDs assistance.
During the ceremony Dr Brenda Kateera the AHF Rwanda program manager, revealed that they offered 24 million Rwf as fund so that the health center is complete and she thanked the Musanze District to have followed up since the construction of the healt center..
“The clinic they had was very small it was just one room for consultation, so we thought that to be able to give the services better to the population we supported them in extending HIV clinic which we inaugurated today. we funded 24 million RWf, so to day we were launching a new extension of a health center in Musanze called Muhoza health center that AHF has had organizational support”. Dr Brenda explained .

Dr Brenda also added that public and even other stakeholders should convey their possible supports in alleviating HIV and AIDS as it is still appearing in our community. “I am calling upon the public and all the stake holders to continue to fight and be involved in HIV responses. HIV is still there let’s protected, let’s go and get tested, let’s prevent new infections. For those that are HIV positive let them start treatment and stay on it” Dr Brenda recommended.
In her speech, Dr Cynthia Daris who is AHF Chair of the Board said that the only way to tackle HIV and AIDS is to stand up and advocate for the community especially those ones who do not have a voice. “We can only do this by standing up to addressing the needs of community advocating on behalf of the people who do not have the voice and ensuring that medications are available for everybody who wants to be on treatment. It is very important to be here again be here for another 11 years as we work in partnership to end HIV&AIDS”.
The AHF client testified how the health center helped her health and self esteem in living with her community.
She said I lost weight after finding that I was HIV positive and when I joined the health center they gave us continuous support, medecines and now I gained weight and if you see me now ,you cannot regnised that I am suffering. I thank AHF Rwanda to have supported our community in getting this health center closer to us.
The first lady madama Jeanette Kagame recently mentioned that Rwanda envisage to end the HIV AIDS disease by 2030.
