Rwanda Media set to select 15 young motivated students for Diploma course in Film

As per to Kwetufilminstitute.com, the programme is realized in 4 Semesters which consist of: 12 weeks of theoretical classes & hands-on-training at the Kwetu Film Institute 4 to 8 week internships in leading production houses locally and internationally. The curriculum is based on the German dual education system. Experienced experts from the Deutsche Welle Akademie, the leading media development institution in Germany are conducting the training in cooperation Rwandan colleagues.

This year Kwetu film institute improved the curriculum system as for its second run of media designers in training from 2016 – 2018 they seek 15 students who are highly motivated and willing to commit to a two year full time training program in which they will be intensely trained on high standard technical equipment. young women are encouraged to apply for the program. The program will begin in August 2016 with a three days assessment center for the best 30 applicants. Afterwards the final 15 participants will be selected by a jury.

:
- Applicants must be citizens of East African Community
- Applicants must provide a senior 6 certificate or higher.
- Intermediate to advanced English language skills are required since the program will be conducted in English.
- The Kwetu Film Institute is not a boarding school. Participants must provide accommodation and transport by themselves.
- The registration fee for the 15 selected participants is 40,000 RWF.
- The semester fee is 350,000 RWF.
- Technical experience is not required.
- Scholarships may be available for selected students.
