Obama: USA is happy with the progress that Rwanda has made in moving beyond horrible crimes and building prosperous future for its citizens

According to white house announcement, In his speech Obama said that the USA said the they not only honor the victims but also those people who risked their lives saving others as well as the survivors. "Twenty-two years after the genocide, we stand with the people of Rwanda to commemorate the more than 1000,000 men, women, and children whose lives were lost during 100 days of unspeakable violence. We honor not just the victims but also those who risked their lives to save others as well as the survivors who carry the memories of these atrocities". Obama expressed.

He also added that it reminds their commitment of protecting civilians and to avoid such kind of killing to happen again. "On this solemn day, we remind ourselves of our common humanity and shared commitment to protecting civilians and ensuring that mass atrocities of this magnitude never happen again". Obama Stated. Obama also revealed that they will continue expanding the relationship with Rwanda as long as patter in avoiding crimes. "Today, even as the United States grieves with the Rwandan people, we are inspired by the progress Rwanda has made in moving beyond these horrible crimes and in building a more peaceful and prosperous future for its citizens". He uttered.

"The United States Government and the American people will continue to extend our friendship and partnership to Rwanda as we reconfirm our commitment to protecting the vulnerable, to preventing mass atrocities, and to upholding the inherent dignity of every human being". He added.
